Heyy, i was just at St. Walters today and fed the homless, It is pretty crazy how much they were able to eat because they were so hungry. One other thing is how manny homless people there are. I learnd from some of them that they have to walk like 1 to 20 mile to do to a shelter for one night i think that is so crazy. I learned to not take school for granted and my thing also.

Denver team and Lou’s team went to Albany Christ church saturday for super saturday the last one of the year for them. It was nice to reconnect with some of the kids that I met last year when I went. I am always amazed when I hear the leaders in prayer, such depth and utter trust in the Lord. They have such great faith and love for their ministry. It really shows in how they love on the neighborhood kids and their families. I am so blessed with what I have and so appreciate it more when I see how this church does so much with so little. They truly trust in the Lord.
I would like to hear from the rest of the Denver team please.

Yeah, Christ Church really knows how to pray! Sat. was a great experience to see what other CMA churches are like. They were also really full of energy when the kids came. I also observed how well our team is going to work together in Denver.

This years dnow was very influential. I really felt like God moved many kids. However i fell like some kids really need to be reminded of the rules. Its really distracting when everything to deal with one or two kids, Other than that i had the best weekend of high school youth group so far. I hope that we continue to do dnow in the future. I cant wait for monday to share this with my friends. Im also glad Daniel got a GPS, no more u-turn.

“The Story of Ellery and Her Slightly Interesting Day”- by some chick

Currently:In school
Today, Charlotte, Danielle, Ryan and I went to Denny’s. They were doing free breakfast today. All of us woke up at 4AMish. Then off to school.
Next comes lunch where 200+ students witnessed a kid get a whole tray of food dumped over his head. It was great. (Not so much for him though.
And now, in less then 30 minutes, I will be listening to my teacher explain to us that we will never be successful in life unless we go to college. . .
I beg to differ.
And now for the end of the day.
-Chill with Justin (Awesome kid with the Yellow hair
-Danielle and I are going to the B-ball game
-Sleepy time.
Amazing.. I no.

so i’m curious. who’s all going to winter camp? are you, “follower of Christ “? let it be said that not_smiling figured out your name. now figure out who i am!

That is very interesting you figured my name out. This will be even more interesting to figure out who you are. But if you do not mind me asking, why did you come up with the name not_smiling?
Reply
If you knew who I was, you would know why I picked that name….it’s a personality thing. If you are going to winter camp, take a look around and see if you can find me. I feel a grin coming on and that’s not like me!
Reply
This really makes me mad! I came up with making dr pepper so no one knew who I was!! I don’t like how u two are doing this!
Reply
I’m sorry to be mean Mikey, but you are just mad because you accidentally put your name instead of Dr Pepper. And as for you Not_smiling, I will be keeping an eye out for you to see who you might be. I will enjoy trying to find out who you are. If you know who I am, I would like you to e-mail me the name of who you suspect this might be at f0ll0w3rofchr1st@yahoo.com. This will be quite interesting.
Hey F.O.C.!
I have my list down to 8 possibilities, so I will let you know when I figure out who you are. I just hope you let me know if I am right, or I won’t be smiling!!!
Hello not_smiling, I promise you that I will tell you if you are right, just as long as you promise me you will not tell anyone.
I promise you I will keep your secret. Let’s keep talking though. I need some hints. There is not enough information on this blog for me to figure out who you are.
When I found out your real name, will you tell me if I am correct? I will try to give you hints as much as I can, with out trying to give my identity away too quickly.
Absolutely I’ll let you know. I didn’t intend to keep it a secret, It just worked out that way. It’s been kind of fun. Hope you feel the same way.
I’m going to Winter Camp!!!!!!!

so I totally have a story. so 2day, me, my mom, & ellery all went 2 go get r hair cut. so were just driving along on glen ellyn road when all of a sudden the truck starts acting weird (my dad had the car cuz he took my little brother & sister to the dells…lucky.)so were going along when all of a sudden the truck dies. and dude, its like below zero out. so we walk across the street cuz we broke down rite in front of the glendale heights service center. so they call a tow guy and were like sitting there 4 like an hour in the truck with no heat (becuz a cop came and said we had 2 stay in the truck)and i totally nearly got frost bite (and i’m not kidding, i was wearing converse! not the warmest of shoes and my toes felt really weird). so the problem ended up being that the fuel geled up and so the tow truck guy finally came & took us home & i sat in front of the fire 4 like an hour & then took like an hour long shower. so yeah! i kno, thrilling. he he

Reminder …. there is no coffeehouse tonight.
Remember, I’ll be hosting a TV-like game show during our next two Sunday Schools (12/28 and 01/04). It’s called “Amazing but True Bible Stories” in which two teams (girls vs. guys) will compete for points, candy prizes, and the claim that one of these teams have superior knowledge and game-playing skills.
You’ll hear some amazing short bible stories, like The Day The Earth Stood Still, The Bible’s Terminator, Angels Are Not Chubby Kids With Wings, and many many more. It’s all for fun and I’ll bet you’ll learn lots of new stuff you never knew was in the Bible.
We start at 9:45 so don’t be late. Jr. Highers will join us this Sunday too, so please make them feel welcome. See ya there.
