Alcoholism is a severe addiction that affects so many people. Having the courage to speak to others about it can be life changing for them. Yesterday was an amazing day. In the morning a group of us went out to hand out cups of cold water and I attempted to learn how to play and Apache card game. After lunch, the rest of the girls and I took a drive with Susie, a missionary here, to pick up girls at a Safe House. The drive was a challenging experience for all of us! Then we went to a fun and exciting worship service, the guys really got into it. After the 3 hour worship service we concluded with a 3 hour debrief session filled with tears, testimonies, recommitting, and prayer. I have never seen our group so connected!! It was amazing! I felt the Lord asking me to pray all night. I was thrilled when I received Daniel's text at 5:00 am. I fell asleep immediately. Today I am praying that Satan would not interfere with the work of the Holy Spirit in each of your lives. I am looking forward to talking to each of you. After confronting a man named Joseph about sharing beer with minors, we brought him to a local AA meeting here in town. Our teens did lots of serving and evangelizing today and I'm sure they will tell you all about it. Following a 3 hour evening worship service, our team had a marathon tearful exchange of personal fears, prayers and hugs that lasted into the wee hours of Thursday morning. It was very emotional, truthful and real. Kids are sleeping in till 9 today. The guys will be leading two seperate 2-hour bible studies today. My team (Josh, Adam, James, Tomi and Ken) will be meeting with a group of young parents this afternoon. We plan to share some personal testimonies, present the gospel using the bridge illustration, and pray for their requests. Please pray for us today. Lou Wednesday was a “breakout” day of sorts. It was very emotional, truthful and real. Kids are sleeping in till 9 today. The guys will be leading two seperate 2-hour bible studies today. My team (Josh, Adam, James, Tomi and Ken) will be meeting with a group of young parents this afternoon. We plan to share some personal testimonies, present the gospel using the bridge illustration, and pray for their requests. Please pray for us today.

Every time I think that I have seen something wonderful, along comes something even more amazing. I know that on this trip I was going to be the photographer, but I think I am getting as much out of it as the kids. I have felt my own faith growing stronger each day.
