Wake Up, Wake Up, WAKE UP! As Saul Ebema, our Winter Camp 2014 speaker, would take the stage to challenge our students, he would repeat this every session. His analogies of “the Potter” (that puts us through fire to make us perfect) and “the Titanic” (we need God, because our lives are never “unsinkable”) were captivating.
The students worked together through team-building activities on the low-ropes course and snow-hiking. The best part of Winter Camp was the opportunity to slow down and worship God. Christine M reminded the group, “God is desiring to be WITH us throughout our whole day, not merely ‘closer’ to us.”
