onMISSION TRIPS TRANSFORM STUDENTS

GODVALUED: When we serve, we want to help every person we serve know that God values them. CHRISTCONNECTED: Students will learn how to share their “Jesus story.” CHRISTCONNECTED: We will coach students to connect with Christ every day and will model this on the trip. WORD&SPIRITLED: Students will learn how to “Ask The Lord” for guidance and then have daily opportunities to test it out. LOVECOMMUNITY: We will learn to love our local communities first (before we discover how to love communities farther from home). ONMISSION: Everything we do is being onMISSION, therefore, we will try not to categorize “our serving time” from “our fun time” or “going” from “staying.” Rather, we will learn how to “be onMISSION in everything we do.” ONMISSION: We will participate in ministries affiliated with our church/denomination in order to connect students and families to future opportunities if they feel God leading them to take a faith-filled risk and go for it! PARENTCONNECTION: We will intentionally ask parents to participate in “debriefing” the trip with their students.
