God’s Word & Holy Spirit determines how I perceive the world

+I have a Biblical worldview [2 Tim 3:16-17].  I use the Bible to interpret and guide my experiences [Ps 119:105] +To make decisions: I Ask The Lord [ATL].  I listen and am obedient to the Holy Spirit [Jn 16:13] I continually allow time to listen to God’s Spirit [Mk 1:35] and do what He says [Mk 1:36-38]. +Without the Holy Spirit’s empowerment I can accomplish nothing [1 Cor 2:4-5]

How to “Test It”

Was it a clear word or just an impression? God may give us different degrees of confidence in what he has said. We therefore need to humbly admit our fallibility. Get someone you trust to check your impression and to confirm it or not.

Does it exalt Christ? (John 16:14)

Is it scriptural? Scripture is our authority. God does not contradict himself. (Proverbs 30:5-6)

Do other Christians confirm it? (Proverbs 20:18, Proverbs 15:22)

Does God cause it to actually take place? (Isaiah 55:11, Deuteronomy 18:21-22)
